Girls Basketball...

I was just wanting some predictions on how you think girls basketball will go in BDD...

Here are mine...
1. Haysi or Honaker- Haysi was a key team in it last year, suprising people by knocking off Council and Honaker in regular season. Starting the season off last year ranked 4th, and finishing Co-Champs, it should be between Haysi and Honaker this year. Honaker- With Amanda Miller and Ashley Mullins being 2 scoring threats, Honaker will be a really tough team. It's Miller's senior year, so she will be playing at her best.

2. Twin Valley- A very quick team, with alot of young talent. Once these girls gain varsity experience, they will be a tough team in district.

3. Council- Losing Gillespie and Jackson last year, will have an important effect on the Lady Cobras scoring-wise. Jayme Presley should put up between 15-20 points each night with her ability to penetrate. They should be pretty good defensively.

4. Hurley- They are usually physical, but I dont know much about their ability to score.

Getting past teams in the LPD will be tough again this year, with teams like Clintwood, who has alot of people who can put up points, and then J.I. Burton with their size inside being 6'3", 5'11", and 6'0". Wise is rebuilding, but they have some talent in Autumn Arney.

I guess we will just see how things go this WINTER!

1. Haysi - They are young and extremely good

2. Honaker - Very good team and will give Haysi a run for thier money

3. Twin Valley - Another good team with a lot of potential

4. Council - Lost some people but should still put on quite a show

5. Hurley - Dont know very much about em except they're hurley. I really wish they'd get some awesome teams out of no where and win state in every sport.

I would have to agree with you guys, Haysi, Honaker, TV, Council, then Hurley. This group from Haysi did surprise a lot of people by taking down the older and more experienced teams last year. Their team is still young, and I think they might be talk about Regional titles, and maybe even State titles, who knows?
